About LVS Ascot (Licensed Victuallers' School)

LVS Ascot is an independent day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 4 to 18 years, founded in 1803 and situated in its current location since 1985. The school is governed by the trustees of its founding charity and is organised into an infant and junior school for pupils aged 4 to 10, and a senior school for pupils aged 11 to 18. Boarders are welcomed into one of four boarding houses. The school aims to inspire independence in every pupil, encouraging them to be happy, healthy, resilient, inquisitive and creative, and to approach life with empathy and integrity. It works to help all pupils achieve their potential and feel well prepared for the challenges that lie ahead. Day pupils come from a range of backgrounds within roughly 30 miles of the school, while boarders travel from further afield, including from overseas. The school supports a wide range of needs within its community: a number of pupils have been identified as having special educational needs and/or disabilities, including dyslexia and dyspraxia, all of whom receive specialist help. English is an additional language for a significant number of pupils, some of whom receive extra support. The curriculum is also adapted for those identified as most able, as well as for pupils with particular talents in sport.
