About Kingshott School
Kingshott School is an independent co-educational day school founded in 1931, originally as a boarding school for boys. Boarding ceased in 1964 and the school became co-educational in 1983. It is run as a charitable trust, overseen by a board of governors. The school welcomes pupils from age three to thirteen, with a pre-prep department covering the Early Years Foundation Stage through to age seven, and a prep department for pupils aged seven to thirteen. The school aims to provide an intellectual environment in which curiosity is stimulated and achievement promoted, while also nurturing each pupil's personal development. Pupils come from a range of professional backgrounds, mostly living within a 15-mile radius of the school. In recent years, the school has opened a new sports and theatre hall, new all-weather pitches, and a cover over the swimming pool to allow year-round swimming. A well-being centre known as the Hub has also been opened, and the school has become a UNICEF Rights Respecting School.
