About Fairley House School
Fairley House School is an independent, co-educational day school in central London, supporting pupils who have specific learning difficulties. It is a charitable trust governed by a board of governors and has been welcoming pupils since 1982. The school operates across two sites, roughly a mile apart, with the junior school in Lambeth for pupils in Years 2 to 5 and the senior school in Westminster for those in Years 6 to 11. Pupils typically join at any point and stay for between two and five years before moving back into mainstream education. The school draws its pupils mostly from the Greater London area and works with children whose specific learning difficulties include dyslexia and dyspraxia, as well as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and autistic spectrum condition. The school aims to offer rich, multi-sensory learning experiences that play to each child's strengths while helping them to overcome challenges. Through a nurturing and encouraging ethos, it focuses on developing the whole child, building confidence and independence so that every pupil has the opportunity to succeed.
