About Broadhurst School

Broadhurst School is a co-educational day nursery and pre-preparatory school situated in a residential area of north-west London, between Hampstead, West Hampstead and Swiss Cottage. Founded in 1958, the school has a long-established presence in the local community and is run as a family concern. It offers pre-Nursery places for children aged 2 to 3, as well as Nursery provision for children aged 3 to 5, with all classes sitting within the Early Years Foundation Stage. The school aims to provide a happy, caring and secure environment where every child is encouraged to develop individually and is motivated to reach their full potential. Stimulating and exciting experiences are at the heart of what the school offers, with a focus on sparking curiosity and nurturing independent, active learners. Children come from a diverse range of cultural, religious and linguistic backgrounds, with most families living within a five-mile radius of the school. The school supports children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, including those with speech and language needs, and provides additional specialist help where required. Children for whom English is an additional language are supported both in the classroom and through one-to-one sessions, while those identified as more able are given further challenge through the school's individual programme.
