About Arnold House School

Arnold House School is an independent day school for boys, founded in 1905. It welcomes pupils from Year 1 through to Year 8, with junior and senior school provision on its main site, a separate sport and activities centre at Canons Park, and an Early Years department on its own nearby site. The school is governed by a charitable foundation whose trustees oversee its work. The school aims to provide academic excellence within a caring Christian ethos, encouraging boys to develop self-confidence and a love of learning. It values a broad curriculum and aspires to help every pupil reach his full potential, with a view to successful progression to senior school. Pupils come from diverse professional family backgrounds and largely live within a five miles of the school. The school identifies and supports pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, including dyslexia, dyspraxia and autism, and makes provision within the classroom for those with English as an additional language. For its most able pupils, the curriculum is thoughtfully adapted to prepare them for senior school scholarship examinations.
