About The White House Preparatory School

The White House Preparatory School and Woodentops Day Nursery is a co-educational independent school welcoming children from 6 months to 11 years old. Set within its own grounds in a residential part of the London Borough of Lambeth, the school and its adjacent day nursery offer a friendly and supportive environment for young learners. The Day Nursery operates separately, opening 50 weeks a year, and children who attend the nursery are able to progress into the school's early years setting when the time is right. The school community is a diverse and welcoming one, drawing pupils mostly from the local area and representing a wide range of ethnic backgrounds. Pupils come from a variety of family backgrounds, and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities receive additional specialist support tailored to their individual requirements. At the heart of the school's approach is a commitment to providing a broad and balanced education in which art, music and sport sit alongside traditional academic subjects. The school believes that every child is unique and valuable, and it works hard to nurture a genuine love of learning through strong relationships between pupils, families, teachers, and the wider school community.
