About Sibford School

Sibford School is a co-educational independent day and boarding school set in a village near Banbury, Oxfordshire. Founded in 1842 as a Quaker foundation, the school is guided by its Quaker ethos in everything it does, with a strong commitment to creating a community where every person feels free to be themselves. The school welcomes children from the age of 3 all the way through to 18, with four sections: an Early Years Foundation Stage, a junior school, a senior school, and a sixth form. Boarding is available from the age of 11, with boarders housed on the main school site. Most pupils come from local families with a variety of professional, business, and farming backgrounds, alongside some boarding pupils from overseas. The school works hard to meet the needs of all its pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and those who speak English as an additional language. It aims to help every pupil recognise their individual talents, reach their potential, and develop a genuine love of learning alongside a care for the wider world around them.
