About Kitebrook Preparatory School

Kitebrook Preparatory School is an independent day and boarding school for girls and boys aged between three and thirteen. Set in a country setting, the school opened in 1959 in a house built in 1820, and is a member of the Cothill Trust, a charitable trust overseen by a board of trustees. The school is also a member of the Incorporated Association of Preparatory Schools (IAPS). Boarding is available on a weekly or flexi basis from Year 2. The school aims to develop each child holistically within a happy, safe, disciplined and respectful environment, nurturing well-rounded and confident individuals as they prepare for their next steps. Pupils come from a range of professional, business and farming families. The school supports those with special educational needs and disabilities, including speech and language delays, dyslexia and dyscalculia, with additional specialist support, and also provides a variety of curriculum and extracurricular provision for more able pupils.
