About Salesian College

Salesian College is an independent Catholic day school for boys in Farnborough, Hampshire, with a sixth form that also welcomes girls. Founded in 1901, the school is part of a worldwide network of educational foundations run by the Salesians of Don Bosco, a religious order with its roots in nineteenth-century Italy. The school is guided by the principles of Don Bosco, and aims to create an environment where every pupil feels valued and understood as an individual. Pupils are encouraged to ask questions about life and themselves, whilst also developing their knowledge and skills. Most pupils come from professional and business families living within half an hour of the school. The school supports a range of learning needs, including pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those for whom English is an additional language. The curriculum is also adapted for pupils with particular talents in areas such as sport, music and drama.
