About Rookwood School
Rookwood School is an independent co-educational day and boarding school, welcoming children from nursery age right through to the sixth form. The nursery caters for children aged 2 to 4, while the lower school covers Reception and Years 1 to 6, and the senior school continues through to sixth form. A small number of pupils board from the age of 11, staying in two residential properties a short walk from the main campus. The school is run as a charitable trust, governed by a board of trustees, and pupils come from a range of professional, business and services backgrounds, living within an hour of the school. The school supports pupils with a variety of needs, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and those for whom English is an additional language, ensuring every child receives the help they need to thrive. At the heart of Rookwood is a genuine commitment to valuing each child as an individual. The school aims to foster a love of learning in a happy environment, encouraging pupils to discover what they are capable of and to grow in courage, integrity, tenacity, and respect for others.
