About Farleigh School

Farleigh School is a co-educational Roman Catholic independent day and boarding school, set within a Georgian house that is home to the chapel, dining room, boarding accommodation and offices. Further classrooms and boarding spaces are housed in a courtyard block and new wing, while the pre-prep, including Early Years Foundation Stage, has its own separate facility. Pupils in Years 3 to 5 are taught in the lower school of the prep. The school has grown over the years, adding a music school, an all-weather pitch, new classrooms for older pupils and a refurbished dining room. The school is a charitable trust administered by a board of governors and is guided by its Catholic ethos. It aims to provide a broad, high-quality education for children of all abilities, supporting their spiritual, moral, social, intellectual and cultural development alongside high standards of pastoral care, while preparing them for senior school and for life beyond. Pupils come from a range of professional family backgrounds, mostly living within 20 miles of the school, with many boarders drawn from military families across London, the Home Counties and a small number from overseas. The school supports pupils with a variety of learning needs, including those with SEND and those for whom English is an additional language, with specialist support in place for all who need it. More able pupils benefit from extension work and study support, whilst talented pupils in sport, the creative arts and other areas are nurtured through specialist teaching.
