About The Pilgrims' School
The Pilgrims' School is an independent day and boarding school for boys aged 4 to 13, set within the historic Close of Winchester Cathedral. The school has roots stretching back to the seventh century and has occupied its present site since 1931. It is owned by the Chapter of Winchester Cathedral, who play a role in its governance. The school is organised into three sections: a pre-prep for boys aged 4 to 7, a junior school for those aged 7 to 10, and a senior school for pupils aged 10 to 13. Two boarding houses are available, one catering for boys across the school and one reserved for senior pupils. Pupils come from a range of local and international backgrounds, with around 12 nationalities represented among the boarders. The school warmly supports the full breadth of its community, including pupils with special educational needs and those who speak English as an additional language. The curriculum is thoughtfully adapted to suit the needs of all learners, including the choristers who sing in the school's two specialist choirs. At the heart of everything, the school aims to help every boy discover and develop his own talents within a caring and nurturing community.
