About Prospect House School
Prospect House School was founded in the 1960s as a nursery in Barnes before relocating to Putney in 1991, where it became a preparatory school. The school now occupies two buildings on Putney Hill: the Lower School, which welcomes pupils from Nursery to Year 2, and the Upper School, which is home to pupils in Years 3 to 6. The school has been owned by Dukes Education since February 2020. The school aims to provide a broad-based curriculum that equips pupils with the knowledge and skills to become active, confident and responsible members of society. It strives to create a safe, supportive and well-resourced environment in which pupils develop a positive attitude towards themselves and others, alongside qualities such as politeness, concern for others, initiative and independence. Pupils are welcomed from a broad range of backgrounds and abilities. The school identifies and supports those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and also makes provision for pupils who speak English as an additional language. Where pupils are identified as more able, the curriculum is adjusted to meet their needs.
