About Plumtree School
Plumtree School is an independent co-educational day school situated in Plumtree, south of Nottingham. Founded in 1982 and under its current ownership since 2015, the school is a family-run limited company, with three of the four director family members working within the school. It welcomes children from the age of three through to eleven, organised across three sections: Early Years (ages three to five), Infants (ages five to seven), and Juniors (ages seven to eleven). The school aims to provide a challenging and supportive environment in which every child is valued as an individual and encouraged to reach their own potential. Guided by its Roots and Wings ethos, Plumtree seeks to nurture pupils who are resilient, original, thoughtful and supportive, while also fostering social, moral and Christian values and an awareness of the wider world. Most pupils come from professional and business families living within 20 miles of the school. The school supports 18 pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and seven pupils for whom English is an additional language, with class teachers providing tailored support. More able pupils are catered for through personalised activities and roles within the school community.
