About Manor Lodge School

Manor Lodge is an independent co-educational day school set in a rural location near Shenley in Hertfordshire. Founded in 1991, the school is a charitable trust governed by a board of governors. A self-contained nursery on site welcomes siblings of pupils in the preparatory school. The school has developed its facilities in recent years, adding a dedicated space for science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics, which includes a learning resource centre, a technology hub, and an art studio with exhibition space. Outdoor learning areas have also been further developed, and a dedicated language suite has been created. The school aims to deliver a forward-thinking curriculum that inspires intellectual curiosity, promotes academic achievement, and supports the wellbeing and individual development of every child, in an environment where diversity and inclusivity are celebrated. Most pupils live within a 25-minute drive of the school, and their cultural backgrounds reflect the local area. The school supports pupils with a range of needs, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those for whom English is an additional language, tailoring additional challenge and support according to each pupil's individual needs.
