About Lochinver House School
Lochinver House School is a preparatory day school for boys aged 4 to 13, founded in 1947. It is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee, governed by a board of governors. The school is organised into two sections: a pre-preparatory department covering Reception to Year 2, including the Early Years Foundation Stage, and a senior department for Years 3 to 8. The school aims to give pupils the tools to succeed and the encouragement to persevere, working in close partnership with parents. It focuses on providing high-quality teaching and learning, with particular attention to pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. Pupils are drawn from a culturally diverse range of backgrounds, reflecting the suburban and North London area in which the school is located. The school supports pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, as well as those for whom English is an additional language, whose needs are met by classroom teachers. The curriculum is also adapted for pupils who show particular talents in sport, music, art, and drama.
