About Emmaus School
Emmaus School is a co-educational, independent Christian day school that first opened its doors in 1997. Set on the site of a former village school, the premises have been extended over the years to provide additional accommodation, and pupils also enjoy a playground and nearby playing fields. The village hall is used for some lessons, and the Early Years Foundation Stage is an integral part of the school community. The school aims to provide a caring Christian environment in which pupils are encouraged to develop creativity, diligence, joyfulness, and forgiveness. It aspires to inspire young people to become independent thinkers who see learning as a lifelong journey. Pupils come from a wide range of family backgrounds and travel from within a 30-mile radius to attend. The school works to meet the needs of all its learners, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, who receive additional specialist support, as well as its most able pupils, whose curriculum is adapted accordingly.
