About d'Overbroeck's

d'Overbroeck's is a co-educational independent day and boarding school for pupils aged 11 to 18, situated in north Oxford. Founded in 1977 as a sixth form college, the school has grown over the years to welcome younger pupils, and now includes a senior section for day pupils in Years 7 to 11, as well as an international section for pupils in Years 9 to 11. The school has a governing body and became part of Nord Anglia Education in 2021. The school is spread across three separate sites, which together include a boarding house, a purpose-built sixth-form centre, and an arts centre for sixth-form and international pupils. Pupils in Years 7 to 11 are all day pupils, while around half of those in the sixth form board at the school. International pupils are almost all boarders, with accommodation provided across six boarding houses and with some pupils staying in host families. The school welcomes a mix of nationalities, with the majority of pupils being British nationals from the local area. It aims to give every pupil the confidence to be themselves, alongside the encouragement and support to grow, learn, and achieve their goals. The school takes a flexible approach to the curriculum for those with particular talents or abilities, and offers specialist support for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, as well as a dedicated department for those for whom English is an additional language.
