About Cambridge Arts and Sciences (CATS)

Cambridge Arts and Sciences Ltd brings together two co-educational international schools in the city of Cambridge: CATS Cambridge and the Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts (CSVPA). Both schools operate across three sites and offer day and boarding places, with two boarding houses available to students. The schools are part of CATS Global Schools, which has six schools across the United Kingdom as well as one in the United States. CATS Cambridge offers GCSE, A-level and University Foundation Programme courses, while CSVPA specialises in foundation and further education courses for the arts. The current principal has been in post since 2019. Both schools aim to encourage all pupils to realise their potential, fostering independence and maturity to prepare them for their futures as global citizens. The schools welcome pupils from many parts of the world, representing a wide range of nationalities, family backgrounds, faiths and cultures. The large majority of pupils are boarders. Support is available for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, and the schools provide tailored assistance for the many pupils who speak English as an additional language.
