About Sancton Wood School
Sancton Wood School is an independent co-educational day school in Cambridge, founded in 1976. It is owned by Dukes Education and welcomes children from nursery through to senior school age. The school's three sections — nursery, pre-prep and prep, and senior — are each located on separate sites within walking distance of one another in Cambridge. The school places pupils at the heart of everything it does. It aims to nurture respect for oneself and for the cultures and beliefs of others, recognising that every child is different and learns in their own way. The school encourages pupils to be curious, to challenge themselves, and to take risks in their learning, with the hope of inspiring a genuine love of learning that lasts a lifetime. Pupils come largely from families with professional or business backgrounds living in and around Cambridge. The school supports a range of learning needs, including pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, those for whom English is an additional language, and those who are identified as the most able, with the curriculum adapted accordingly to ensure every child is well supported.
