About Ashley Manor Preparatory School

St Edward's Preparatory School is an independent co-educational day school welcoming children aged one to eleven, set on a 45-acre site on the edge of Cheltenham. The school is organised into three sections: a kindergarten for children aged one to four, a pre-prep for those aged four to seven, and a prep department for pupils aged seven to eleven. It was established in 1995 and is governed by St Edward's School Trust (Cheltenham), which also oversees a senior school located two miles away. The school has a Christian ethos with a Catholic foundation and warmly welcomes pupils of all faiths and none. At its heart is a strong sense of family, where every child is valued and supported to fulfil their individual potential in a caring environment. The school believes that each pupil is truly unique and aims to help children recognise their own gifts and talents, encouraging a lasting ambition for self-improvement. Most pupils come from British families living within a twenty-minute journey of the school. The school supports a range of needs within its community, including pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, those with English as an additional language, and those identified as particularly able or talented in sport and the performing arts. Provision is thoughtfully tailored to help every child thrive.
