About Twickenham Preparatory School

Twickenham Preparatory School is an independent co-educational day school, housed in a grade II listed building, with a purpose-built pre-prep. Founded in 1969, the school moved to Hampton in 1992 and is run as a charitable trust overseen by a board of governors. It welcomes children from the Early Years Foundation Stage through to senior prep, catering for pupils aged 4 to 13, though girls transition on at the age of 11. The school has grown its facilities in recent years, adding a building for art and design technology, new classrooms and a digital media suite, as well as extending the Reception outdoor learning area. Pupils come from the local area and a range of professional backgrounds, and the school supports a number of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, as well as those for whom English is an additional language. At the heart of the school is a commitment to creating a safe, caring and happy environment where every pupil feels valued. Set within a Christian ethos, the school celebrates different faiths and cultures and works to instil core values of kindness, courage, consideration and courtesy, encouraging pupils to treat others as they would wish to be treated themselves.
