About Hampton Pre-Prep and Prep School

Hampton Pre-Prep and Prep School is an independent co-educational day school welcoming boys aged 3 to 11 and girls aged 3 to 7. Founded in 1924 as Denmead School and acquired by the Hampton Trust in 1999, the school operates across two sites a short walk apart, with one home to the pre-prep — including the Early Years Foundation Stage — and the other to the prep. It is administered by the same board of governors as Hampton School. The school aims to provide a challenging and stimulating education within a friendly and supportive environment. It seeks to nurture academic ambition alongside a positive approach to learning, encouraging pupils to take part in co-curricular activities, develop respect for themselves and others, and build skills that will serve them well at their next school and beyond. Pupils come from a range of backgrounds, and the school works to meet a variety of learning needs. Support is available for those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and the curriculum is adapted for the most able pupils in the school. For those who speak English as an additional language, the school provides a welcoming environment in which they can thrive.
