About The Study Preparatory School
Founded in 1893, The Study School is an independent day school for girls aged 4 to 11 years, run as an educational trust overseen by a board of governors. Girls join the school at age 4 at Wilberforce House, then move to Spencer House from age 8 to 11 years. The school aims to provide a stimulating, challenging and exciting environment where girls work together harmoniously, developing a love of knowledge, self-confidence, and their interpersonal skills and talents, so that they are equipped for their future study and show a sense of responsibility towards others. Pupils come from a range of professional and business backgrounds within a 10-mile radius of the school. The school supports girls with a variety of needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities and those for whom English is an additional language, with classroom teachers and specialist staff on hand to help. Provision for the most able pupils is also built into the curriculum.
