About Thames Christian School

Thames Christian School is an independent co-educational day school, founded in September 2000 and run as a registered charity. The school is based in purpose-built premises close to Clapham Junction, and is governed by a board of directors who also serve as the charity's trustees. The school aims to help every pupil understand their own value, both as an individual and as part of a wider community. It encourages good character, personal responsibility, and academic excellence, with the hope that pupils will grow into compassionate and well-rounded young people, ready to take on leadership roles in life beyond school. Most pupils come from the local area, with others travelling from within about 12 miles of Clapham Junction. The school community reflects the rich variety of cultural, social, and economic backgrounds of the surrounding area. The school supports pupils with a range of needs, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, pupils for whom English is an additional language, and those with particular gifts or talents in areas such as sport, music, or art.
