About Dolphin School (Incorporating Noahs Ark Nursery Schools)
Dolphin School (incorporating Noah's Ark Nursery Schools) is an independent co-educational day school based in Battersea. The main school, which caters for pupils from Reception to Year 6, was founded in 1986 and is housed in a church building. Noah's Ark Nursery Schools, welcoming children aged two to four, became part of the family in 2002, with one nursery on the main school site and another in a nearby church hall. All three settings operate together as a single charitable trust, overseen by a board of governors. The school aims to find and release each child's potential in academic work, creative endeavour and sport, while developing their character through a Christian understanding of what it means to be human. It values the contributions of diverse ethnic groups and works to ensure that pupils are well prepared for the personal and intellectual challenges of secondary school. Most pupils come from professional and business families living within three miles of the school. The school supports a number of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, including dyslexia and dyspraxia, and makes tailored provision for those identified as having particular talents in areas such as art, drama, music and sport.
