About St Hugh's School, Oxfordshire

St Hugh's School is a co-educational day school offering weekly and flexi boarding, set in a Jacobean country house within 40 acres of rural Oxfordshire. Founded in 1906 and relocated to its current home at Carswell Manor in 1945, the school has been run by a board of governors and trustees since becoming a trust in 1967. Boarders are accommodated within the main school house on campus. The school aims to educate pupils in an enriching and happy environment that nurtures academic potential, mental health, and physical wellbeing. It seeks to prepare young people for life beyond school by encouraging a sense of responsibility and an awareness of the contribution they can make to the wider community. Pupils come from a range of professional and business backgrounds within a 20-mile radius of the school. The school supports pupils with a variety of needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, those for whom English is an additional language, and those with particular talents in areas such as art, sport, music, and drama, with the curriculum adapted accordingly.
