About St George's Junior School
St George's Junior School is an independent co-educational day school welcoming children aged 3 to 11, situated around one and a half miles from its senior school, St George's College, Weybridge. Founded in 1869 by the Josephites, a Belgian order of Catholic priests, St George's College has a long history, with the junior school becoming a separate entity in 1950 and moving to its current site in 2000. The school is a registered charity and is overseen by a shared governing body with the senior school. The school aims to offer personalised attention, a well-rounded curriculum, and a broad range of extra-curricular activities, encouraging every pupil to find a genuine joy in learning and to be the very best version of themselves. Pupils come mostly from British families living locally, and represent a range of backgrounds and abilities. The school provides support for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, as well as for those with English as an additional language. Provision is also made for pupils identified as most able, and for those with particular talents in sport and the performing arts. Younger children in Nursery to Year 2 are based in a dedicated building within the school grounds, while pupils in Years 3 to 6 are taught in the main school building.
