About St Gabriel's School
St Gabriel's School is an independent day school based at Sandleford Priory, welcoming children from the age of 6 months through to 18 years. The junior school is co-educational, while the senior school is registered for female pupils aged 11 to 18. Founded in 1929 by the Sisters of the Order of Jesus The Good Shepherd, the school moved to its current site in 1948 and has been overseen by a board of governors since 1974. It operates as a registered charity. The school aims to provide a balanced academic education within a safe, secure and happy Christian environment, encouraging pupils to become confident and well-rounded individuals who are ready to meet the challenges of the wider world. Pupils come from a range of business and professional backgrounds within approximately 20 miles of the school. The school is committed to supporting the needs of all its pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, those for whom English is an additional language, and those who show particular ability or special talents in sport and the creative arts.
