About St. Aubyn's School
St Aubyn's is an independent co-educational day preparatory school for pupils aged between 3 and 13 years. Founded in 1884, the school is a registered charity overseen by a board of governors who act as trustees. Most pupils live within five miles of the school, making it a genuinely local community school. The school is organised into three departments: a pre-prep covering the Early Years Foundation Stage through to Year 2, a middle school for Years 3 to 5, and a senior school for Years 6 to 8. The school aims to support every child's academic and all-round development, encouraging pupils to become confident, enquiring learners who are considerate and responsible members of society. The school welcomes pupils with a range of needs and abilities. It provides additional support for a number of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, as well as for those for whom English is an additional language. Where pupils are identified as more able, the curriculum is thoughtfully adapted to meet their needs.
