About Sevenoaks Preparatory School
Sevenoaks Preparatory School is a co-educational day school founded in 1919 and established as an educational trust in 2003. The school is organised into two sections: a pre-prep for children in the EYFS and Years 1 and 2, and a prep for those in Years 3 to 8. A Centenary building has been added in recent years, providing specialist teaching rooms for Years 6 to 8, including a science laboratory, art studio, library area and ICT suite. The school's Way of Life places importance on developing self-knowledge, self-esteem and self-confidence, with a focus on kindness, responsibility and community. It aims to offer a balance of academic challenge and personal development, encouraging pupils to be the best version of themselves through their own efforts and the collaborative guidance of staff and parents. Pupils mainly come from professional families living within a 15-mile radius of the school. The school provides additional specialist help for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and offers support for those for whom English is an additional language. The needs of more able pupils are supported through curriculum modification and a range of extra-curricular activities.
