About Ripley Court School
Ripley Court School is an independent co-educational day school for pupils aged 3 to 13, founded in 1893 originally as a boys' school. It became co-educational in 1979 and, in October 2019, merged with Reed's School in Cobham. The school is a registered charity overseen by a board of governors, and is organised into four sections: The Ark Nursery, Little Court Pre-Prep (Reception to Year 2), Middle Court (Years 3 and 4) and Upper Court (Years 5 to 8). The school aims to be ambitious for every child, celebrating pupils' successes, however big or small, so that they grow in confidence and begin to unlock their potential. It seeks to nurture a love of learning and to send pupils out into the world as kind, curious and resilient young people. Pupils come from a range of professional backgrounds and live mainly within a five-mile radius of the school. The school supports pupils with a variety of needs, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities such as dyslexia and dyspraxia, as well as pupils for whom English is an additional language and those identified as more able or as having particular talents in sport, music and the arts.
