About Orchard House School
Orchard House School is a preparatory day school situated in a residential area of Chiswick, London. It opened in 1993 and became part of Dukes Education in February 2020, who own and govern the school. The school operates across two sites within walking distance of each other, welcoming pupils aged 3 to 6 on one site and those aged 7 to 11 on the other, with two further local buildings used on a daily basis. The school aims to provide a dynamic, child-centred education within a friendly and welcoming environment. It places great importance on courtesy, kindness, respect and teamwork, and works to build resilience and perseverance in its pupils whilst nurturing each child's individuality. All members of the school community are valued equally. Most pupils come from the local area. The school supports 30 pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, the majority of whom receive help for dyslexia, and 42 pupils for whom English is an additional language, two of whom receive additional support. The most able pupils are stretched through extension activities in lessons.
