About Kent College Canterbury

Kent College (Canterbury) Senior School is a co-educational independent day and boarding school, forming part of Kent College (Canterbury) alongside the junior school and international study centre. The school is a charity within the Methodist Independent School Trust, and is governed by a dedicated governing body. There are three boarding houses for male pupils and two for female pupils, and the school has developed its facilities to include the Great Hall, a performance and assembly space.

The school aims to maintain high educational standards across academic, cultural and sporting activities, nurturing a love of learning whilst encouraging disciplined study at all ability levels. It strives to provide a caring Christian family community committed to helping each individual reach their full potential, welcoming pupils of all faiths and none in a spirit of openness and tolerance.

Pupils come from a range of professional and other family backgrounds. The school supports 159 pupils identified as having special educational needs and/or disabilities, and provides additional language support for a significant number of pupils for whom English is an additional language. The curriculum is also adapted for the most able pupils, as well as for those with particular strengths in sport, music and drama.
