About Farringtons School

Farringtons School is an independent co-educational day and boarding school welcoming pupils aged three to nineteen. Founded in 1911, the school is part of the Methodist Independent Schools Trust and is made up of a junior and a senior school, with two boarding houses on the main site. A newer teaching block for science and mathematics has been added in recent years. The school is guided by its Methodist traditions and aims to support the holistic development of every pupil within a caring Christian environment. It encourages each young person to reach their full academic potential and to grow in confidence, wisdom, and shared values as they prepare for higher education and working life. Most day pupils come from the local area, while boarders join from a range of countries. The school is attentive to the diverse needs of its community, providing support for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, those who speak English as an additional language, and those with particular talents in areas such as sport, music, debating, poetry, and the performing and creative arts.
