About Aldwickbury School
Aldwickbury School is an independent day and boarding school for boys, founded in 1937 and situated on its current site since 1948. The school operates as a charitable trust governed by a board of trustees, and welcomes pupils from the age of 4 through to 13. It is organised across a pre-prep, a junior department and a senior department, with flexible boarding available for up to three nights per week from Year 5. The school aims to provide an encouraging and positive environment rooted in Christian values, where every boy feels secure, cared for and respected. The focus is on helping pupils grow in self-esteem, develop as independent learners and build the confidence to play an active part in an ever-changing world. Pupils come from a range of professional backgrounds, with most families living within roughly ten miles of the school. The school supports boys with a variety of needs, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities such as dyslexia, dyspraxia and processing difficulties, as well as pupils for whom English is an additional language. Provision is also adapted for the most able pupils, ensuring that every boy is given the opportunity to thrive.
