About Waverley Preparatory School & Day Nursery
Waverley Preparatory School and Nursery is an independent co-educational day school situated in a rural location in Wokingham. The school comprises two sections: an Early Years Foundation Stage, welcoming children from three months to five years old through Nursery and Reception, and a prep school for pupils aged five to eleven. It moved to its current site in 1997 and is overseen by a proprietor, supported by a board of governors. The school aims to educate the individual, striving for high academic achievement through a rich and challenging curriculum. It seeks to nurture a genuine passion for learning by encouraging critical and creative thinking, and to prepare pupils for life in modern Britain. Most pupils come from local families with a range of professional and business backgrounds. The school supports pupils with a variety of special educational needs and disabilities, including dyslexia and dyspraxia, with a number receiving additional specialist help. Provision is also made for the most able pupils, as well as those with particular talents in areas such as art, music, games, and speech and drama.
