About Salterford House School
Salterford House School is a co-educational day school for pupils aged 2 to 11, set on a four-acre site in the heart of rural Nottinghamshire. Established in 1981, the school is family owned and comprises an Early Years Foundation Stage department, including a Nursery and a Reception class known as the Pre-Prep, as well as a main school covering Years 1 to 6. The school aims to provide a curriculum that encourages pupils to understand the purpose and enjoyment of learning. It seeks to create a stimulating and positive environment where pupils can apply their knowledge, skills and understanding, and to equip them with the resilience and perseverance to become creative and independent thinkers. Pupils come from families with a range of professional and business backgrounds, mostly living within a 15-mile radius of the school. The school identifies and supports pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, including dyslexia and autistic spectrum disorder, and makes adjustments to the curriculum for those identified as more able.
