About Pembridge Hall School

Pembridge Hall School is an independent day preparatory school for girls aged between 4 and 11, set in Pembridge Square. Founded in 1979 as Our Lady of Sion in Notting Hill, the school moved to its current site before becoming part of the Alpha Plus Group, which owns and governs it today. The school aims to give every girl a sound grounding for future learning and a good preparation for senior school entrance examinations. It does this within a happy, secure and stimulating environment, offering a broad curriculum that encourages excitement in learning, creativity and independence of thought. The school also places great value on mutual respect, courtesy and thoughtfulness for others, with the goal that each girl leaves feeling well-rounded, confident and resilient. Pupils come from mainly professional backgrounds and reside locally. The school identifies and supports those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, as well as those for whom English is an additional language, with much of this support provided by class teachers. The curriculum is also adapted for the most able pupils, and the school is attentive to individual talents and interests across its community.
