About Leicester Grammar School
Leicester Grammar School is a co-educational day school founded in 1981, with a junior school established in 1992. In 2008, the school moved to purpose-built premises in Great Glen, on the south-eastern fringes of Leicester. Governed by the Leicester Grammar School Trust, the school has a Christian foundation and warmly welcomes pupils of all faiths, celebrating the diversity of its community. The school aims to develop the academic potential of every pupil whilst enriching their experience through music, sport, and a wide range of other interests. Nurturing the moral and spiritual well-being of each individual is central to its Christian ethos. Most pupils come from the city of Leicester and the surrounding southern Leicestershire area. The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including those requiring SEND support and those for whom English is an additional language. Whether through ensemble music-making, school productions, or participation in national sporting competitions, Leicester Grammar School looks to help every pupil grow and flourish.

Mobile Phone Policy
Pupils may bring mobile phones into school, but they are required to be out-of-sight at all times, unless under a teacher's supervision. Pupils in years 7 and 8 lock their phones away at the start of the school day. Older pupils carry their phones in a pocket. Sixth form students may use their phones in their designated areas. Phones are often used alongside other technology (laptops, ipads and computer suites) to enrich and enliven lessons.
