About Howe Green House School
Howe Green House is an independent day school for boys and girls aged between 2 and 11, set within fifteen acres on the Hertfordshire and Essex border, close to Hatfield Forest. Founded in 1987 by a group of staff and parents, the school is run as a charitable trust overseen by a board of governors. In recent years, the school has invested in new computing facilities, tablet technology for pupils and staff, and upgraded playgrounds with new equipment and all-weather surfaces. The school aims to create a family environment where every child feels valued, fulfilled, and confident. Pupils are encouraged to develop spiritually and creatively, to look beyond themselves, and to take on challenges that help them reach their potential at every stage of their education. Pupils come from a range of backgrounds within roughly a 15-mile radius of the school. The school supports children with a variety of learning needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, and adapts its curriculum for more able pupils as well as those with particular talents in sport and the performing arts.
