About Griffin House School

Griffin House Preparatory School is an independent co-educational day school welcoming children aged 3 to 11, set within a large Victorian property and five acres of grounds in the village of Little Kimble, between High Wycombe and Aylesbury. The school has been on this site since 1939 and is organised into two sections: the Early Years Foundation Stage and the Prep School for Years 1 to 6. Pupils are admitted without academic selection, and the school is non-denominational. The school aims to provide a broad and balanced curriculum with individualised learning, so that every child can reach their potential. Children are supported to become confident, inquisitive, responsible, kind and independent learners within a happy, safe and nurturing environment. Families come from a range of professional and business backgrounds, mostly living within fifteen miles of the school. The school welcomes pupils of all abilities and provides support for those with special educational needs and disabilities, as well as offering extension opportunities and intervention sessions for its more able pupils.
