About Framlingham College

Framlingham College is an independent co-educational day and boarding school, founded in 1864. It operates as a registered charity and encompasses both a senior school and an associated preparatory school, overseen by a board of trustees. The school has seven boarding houses and is led by a head who acts as principal across both schools. The school aims to develop the knowledge and skills each pupil will need to thrive as a global citizen in adult life. Alongside academic work, a broad co-curricular programme is in place to support well-being, build self-belief, and encourage personal growth beyond the classroom. Pupils come from a wide range of family backgrounds and cultures, with many living locally or across East Anglia. Full boarders include international pupils from around the world. The school supports pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, those for whom English is an additional language, and those identified as more able, who take part in workshops designed to stretch and challenge them.
