About Finborough School
Finborough School is an independent co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 2 to 18, set within 60 acres of grounds in Great Finborough, Suffolk. Founded in 1993, the school has four sections: Early Years Foundation Stage for children from the age of 2, a prep department for pupils aged 5 to 11, a senior school for pupils aged 11 to 16, and a sixth form for pupils aged 16 to 18. Boarders are accommodated in two separate houses, one for girls and one for boys. The school has invested in its facilities in recent years, adding a multi-purpose sports complex, new computer facilities, a dedicated sixth form area, refurbished boarding and dining accommodation, and a coffee shop run by sixth-formers. All sixth-form pupils follow individualised programmes, and the curriculum is adapted to support those identified as highly able as well as pupils with particular sporting talents. Finborough aims to provide each pupil with the best preparation for life, guided by its motto, Strive for the Highest, across academic, sporting, and personal development. The school welcomes pupils from a range of backgrounds, with boarders joining from both British and overseas locations from the age of nine. Support is in place for pupils with special educational needs and for those for whom English is an additional language.
