About Cameron Vale School

Cameron Vale School is a co-educational day school founded in 1980, acquired by Forfar Education in April 2020. The school is led by a headteacher who joined in January 2023 and operates under the oversight of an education advisory board. In April 2023, a nursery and baby room opened, welcoming children from six months of age. The school aims to foster self-belief, curiosity, and resilience in its pupils, encouraging teamwork, a willingness to take calculated risks, and the ability to cope with challenge. It works closely with families to ensure a shared set of values runs through every aspect of school life, giving children the time and space to simply be children within a community that celebrates diversity and individuality. Most pupils come from professional and business families living close to the school. The school supports 16 pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, all of whom receive specialist help, and one pupil holds an education, health and care plan. Nine pupils speak English as an additional language, and the curriculum is adapted for those identified as the most able.
