About Bournemouth Collegiate Preparatory School
Bournemouth Collegiate Preparatory School is a day school welcoming children from the age of 2 through to 11. Founded in 2009 following the amalgamation of two independent schools, it serves as the preparatory school to Bournemouth Collegiate senior school, located six miles away. Together they form Bournemouth Collegiate School, with the preparatory head working closely alongside the overarching headmaster. The school is owned and governed by United Learning and is supported by a local governing body. Most pupils come from families living within a five-mile radius of the school, bringing together children from a range of backgrounds. The school warmly supports all its learners, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, those for whom English is an additional language, and those with particular talents in areas such as science, languages, sport, ICT, art and drama. At the heart of the school is a commitment to fostering a culture of success and inclusivity within a safe, happy and supportive environment. The school places great importance on values such as resilience, courage, integrity, kindness and respect, helping pupils to grow into socially responsible young people who are well prepared for an ever-changing world.
