About Blundell's Preparatory School

Blundell's Preparatory School is an independent co-educational day school situated near Tiverton in Devon. Founded in 1929, it became part of Blundell's Charitable Trust in 2000 and took on its current name in 2006. The school welcomes children from nursery age right through to the end of prep, catering for pupils aged 2 to 11 across three sections: nursery, pre-prep, and prep. The school aims to build a warm and supportive community where every child is encouraged to grow, learn, and reach their potential. It strives to provide a happy, stimulating, and caring environment, and has invested in developing its site and curriculum to support this, adding facilities such as a dance studio, a music department, a science laboratory, and enhanced ICT provision, alongside introducing engineering and outdoor learning. Pupils come from a range of professional, farming, and business families in the local area. The school is attentive to the varied needs of its pupils, providing additional specialist support for those who need it, and adapting the curriculum for its most able learners.
