About Alleyn Court Preparatory School
Alleyn Court Preparatory School is a co-educational day school originally founded in 1904 in Westcliff, Southend-on-Sea. In 1993 the school moved to its current main site in nearby Thorpe Bay, whilst retaining its Nursery provision at the original location. The school is owned and governed by a charitable trust. The school aims to nurture pupils who are respectful, responsible, resilient, resourceful and reflective. Through a broad and stimulating curriculum, it seeks to encourage curiosity, creativity and a genuine love of learning, helping children to reach their potential across academic, physical, artistic and social pursuits and to be well prepared for secondary education and beyond. Pupils are admitted with a wide range of abilities and come predominantly from families within a 15-mile radius of the school. The school supports pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, those who speak English as an additional language, and those who are more able, gifted or talented, ensuring that every child's individual needs are met.
