About Adcote School for Girls

Adcote School for Girls is an independent day and boarding school for girls aged between 7 and 19, with a history stretching back to 1907. Set within a manor house and purpose-built accommodation in its grounds, the school offers both day and boarding places, with boarding available from the age of 8. It is managed by a board of directors supported by an advisory council of governors. The school aims to inspire its pupils within a caring and supportive environment, helping them to develop happiness, self-confidence, leadership, engagement, achievement and resilience through strong teaching and a wide range of extra-curricular activities. Pupils come from a variety of backgrounds, including business, farming and professional families, and boarders join from the United Kingdom as well as from a number of other countries. The school supports pupils with a range of needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, those for whom English is an additional language, and those who have been identified as particularly able or as having special talents in areas such as sport, music and drama.
