About Abbot's Hill School

Abbot's Hill School is an independent day school welcoming pupils aged between 6 months and 16 years. Registered as a single-sex school for female pupils, it also welcomes boys in the Early Years Foundation Stage. Founded in 1912 as a Church of England boarding school for girls, it later became a day school and now comprises a co-educational nursery and pre-school, a girls' prep school, and a girls' senior school, all on a single site. The school is run by a non-profit making charitable trust. The school's vision is to develop happy, self-assured, compassionate young people, expertly prepared to face the world through a relevant, ambitious and inclusive curriculum. Pupils come from a range of professional backgrounds, with the majority living within a 10-mile radius of the school. The school identifies and supports pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, including dyslexia and dyspraxia, ensuring all receive additional specialist help. The curriculum is also modified for the most able pupils and for those with special talents across a variety of subjects and interests.
